The Alcobendas Employment Fair has opened its doors, offering 679 job positions managed by more than 30 companies, doubling the previous edition's figure and solidifying its role as a key initiative for job placement in the northern area of the Community of Madrid.

The La Esfera Municipal Center hosts this event aimed at connecting companies with candidates, covering profiles from various sectors such as maintenance, services, retail, automotive, logistics, industry, and healthcare. Attendees have the opportunity to conduct direct face-to-face interviews with employers.
During the inauguration, the mayor, Rocío García Alcántara, highlighted the importance of these fairs in generating employment opportunities and promoting professional retraining, adapting to current market needs.

The objective is to generate employment opportunities and promote the professional requalification of unemployed individuals to improve their access to the labor market.

The mayor also emphasized the positive evolution of employment indicators in Alcobendas, noting that the municipality has achieved a state of technical full employment for the first time in seventeen years, with an unemployment rate half the national average. In May, there were 49 fewer unemployed individuals than the previous month, and 134,764 people employed, an increase of 10,000 since the start of the current term.
In addition to job openings, the program includes practical workshops, training sessions, and specialized advice to prepare applications. Specific attention is given to groups such as senior talent and individuals with disabilities, promoting inclusion and labor diversity.
The Alcobendas Employment Fair has established itself as a benchmark event in the northern region of Madrid, facilitating access to employment and the connection between supply and demand. The initiative benefits from institutional collaboration, including the Digital Skills Training Center and the Local Employment Pact signed in 2024.
