The city of Alcobendas has set a new world record by creating the world's longest cake, measuring 400 meters in length, during the celebration of Albal's 50th anniversary.

Thousands of people gathered at the Ciudad Deportiva Valdelasfuentes to witness and participate in this gastronomic milestone. The initiative allowed for the distribution of a total of 4,600 portions of this monumental cake, thus surpassing the previous record of 360 meters held by Valladolid.
This achievement is part of the commemorative events for the company Albal's 50th anniversary, a day that combined leisure and citizen participation in collaboration with the Alcobendas City Council. Alcobendas was chosen as the venue because the company, a leader in solutions for food preservation and preparation at home, has maintained its operations in the municipality since 2007.

The well-known chef Samantha Vallejo-Nágera participated in the event as the godmother of the party, accompanying a day that combined leisure activities and citizen participation.

In addition to tasting a free portion of the cake, attendees enjoyed live music, entertainment, a photocall, and gift raffles. The event concluded with the achievement of this new world record for the city, bringing together thousands of people around the anniversary of a company with a strong presence in the municipality.
