On Sunday, May 24, Colmenar Viejo will be filled with color and solidarity during the Color Run, an event combining sports, music, and a fair for social organizations at the Municipal Sports City ‘Juan Antonio Samaranch’.

The initiative, designed for family enjoyment, features as its main novelty an inclusive 750-meter route, intended for those who require a calmer and more adapted environment. In this modality, color will be added through different colored cards held by volunteers and representatives of associations, creating a visually appealing atmosphere without the use of airborne powders.
The day will begin at 10:00h with this inclusive race, with a registration fee of 6 euros. Subsequently, at 11:00h, the general modality will start, a 3-kilometer circuit with five animation points where biodegradable colored powders will be thrown. Registration for the latter ranges from 5 to 14 euros, with special rates for families.
In addition to the sports events, the day will include a zumba masterclass under the slogan ‘Colmenar dances to the rhythm of colors’ and the Entities Fair. In this space, various municipal associations, such as the Association of Friends of the Sahrawi People, Asprodico, Envera, Colmetea, and Manos Unidas, will present their projects and social causes. Attendees can also participate in a solidarity gymkhana with challenges at each stand.

"In this edition, we also celebrate the Entities Fair, a space to discover the heart of our associations and the essential work they do every day. Throughout the day, we invite you to come closer, get to know them, and discover how to become part of the municipal volunteer network. Offering a little of our time is an immense gift for those who receive it, and also for those who give it."

Registrations for both modalities are open until 23:59h on Saturday, May 23, or until the 1,500 available bibs are sold out. Participants are encouraged to come dressed in white to enhance the visual effect of the colors. Bibs can be collected on the day of the event from 9:00h at the designated tents.

"The Color Run returns to Colmenar Viejo to remind us that sport is much more than movement: it is coexistence, shared joy, and a firm commitment to inclusion, diversity, and equality. This year we take another step with two routes: a general one and an inclusive one, designed so that absolutely no one is left out. Because in this race, every person matters and every step counts."
