The Colmenar Viejo Bullring will host the April Fair from April 23rd to 26th, offering residents and visitors a festive experience with flamenco music, Andalusian cuisine, and a Sevillian atmosphere.

The municipality of Colmenar Viejo is preparing to host its own April Fair, an event designed to bring the essence of the Sevillian celebration to the local Bullring. From Thursday, April 23rd, to Sunday, April 26th, the venue will be adorned with lanterns, traditional stalls, and a cultural program that promises to immerse attendees in Andalusian tradition.
This initiative, promoted by the Colmenar Viejo City Council, aims to allow both residents and visitors to experience one of southern Spain's most deeply rooted festivities without having to travel. Admission to the event will be free for all ages.
The activity program will span four days, with adjusted schedules for each day. On Thursday, April 23rd, the fair will open from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM. On Friday, April 24th, hours will be from 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM. Over the weekend, the celebration will extend, starting on Saturday, April 25th, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 AM, and on Sunday, April 26th, from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM, allowing enjoyment of the fair during lunchtime hours as well.
One of the main attractions of this edition is the diverse live music offering. The program includes DJ Flamenquito sessions and live band performances throughout the four days. On Friday, the group Jamai will liven up the evening with rumbas and flamenquito. Saturday will be the most comprehensive day, featuring a midday performance by Cerrado por Vacaciones and an evening show by Makaú, offering flamenco-fusion. Sunday will conclude with performances by Colmenar Canta and Borja Rodríguez.
Beyond the music, the fair will offer a complete gastronomic experience with stalls where typical Andalusian dishes and drinks such as fried fish (pescaíto frito), ham, and rebujito can be sampled. The organizers encourage attendees to wear traditional costumes, such as the flamenco dress or short suit, to enhance the festive atmosphere.

"The April Fair is not just a party: it is a shared emotion, a way of feeling and celebrating Andalusian culture and traditions together. The Bullring will transform into a lively corner, where the stalls, lanterns, and ambiance will make us feel that, for a few hours, we are in the heart of Andalusia."
