The operation, which began early last year, focused on investigating a warehouse in Colmenar de Oreja, suspected of being used to dismantle stolen vehicles. According to authorities, some of these cars had previously been used by other criminal groups to commit offenses before being moved to this property.

The network members primarily stole vehicles in the Community of Madrid and neighboring provinces. After being stolen, the vehicles were taken to the Colmenar de Oreja property for dismantling. Subsequently, the parts were transported to an industrial warehouse in Camarma de Esteruelas, from where they were loaded onto trucks and shipped out of Spain.

During the investigation, two scrapyards in the Community of Madrid were also identified as allegedly receiving some of the stolen material. In the final phase of the operation, agents intercepted a Polish-registered truck carrying stolen vehicle parts and components ready to leave the country.

With judicial authorization, the Civil Guard conducted searches in both locations, seizing five completely dismantled vehicles, parts from 14 other cars, a handgun, a machete, and 1,205 euros in cash. It is estimated that the value of the vehicles stolen and dismantled by the group exceeds half a million euros.

The 15 detainees face charges for motor vehicle theft, belonging to a criminal group, property damage, and receiving stolen goods. The investigation remains open, as they are linked to approximately thirty additional crimes.
