The incident, which affected signaling on the Henares Corridor section, began early in the morning, with Renfe issuing warnings at 6:02 AM about potential delays, stops, and route changes for trains in both directions.
Adif technicians worked throughout the morning to resolve the situation, successfully restoring service by 11:52 AM. From that point, trains gradually began to resume their regular frequencies.
“"With the cable theft incident resolved, trains will progressively recover their usual frequencies."
This type of incident is not isolated within the Cercanías Madrid network. In recent months, other sections of the railway infrastructure have experienced similar cable thefts, leading to service interruptions and significant delays for passengers.
