Under the slogan «3 Artes en 1» (3 Arts in 1), the initiative organized by the Cultural Group «La Historia que nos une» (The History that Unites Us) will offer a diverse experience to attendees. The event will kick off at 12:00 PM at the Sala Al-Artis, located at Calle Ejidos, number 8.
The pictorial exhibition will bring together works by artists from eleven historical municipalities of the Fuero, in addition to Pedrezuela and San Agustín de Guadalix, offering a plural vision of the territory through the eyes of its residents.
Complementing the artistic showcase, local resident José Enrique Rivas Palomar will present a collection of scale models that preserve the built heritage of Valdeolmos-Alalpardo, highlighting the local architecture.
The third offering is the presentation of the book La vida alegre en el Madrid de la Restauración (1885-1906) (The Joyful Life in Madrid during the Restoration Period), by historian Martín Turrado Vidal. The work explores the regulation of prostitution in 19th Century Madrid, with unpublished data on its operation and administrative control.
The book presentation delves into one of the least explored aspects of 19th-century Madrid society: the world of prostitution and its regulation during the Restoration period.
The introduction to the event will be given by José María Espinosa de los Monteros, president of the Foro para el Estudio de la Historia Militar de España (FEHME) (Forum for the Study of Military History of Spain).
The exhibition can be visited over several weekends, with specific hours on May 30th, May 31st, June 5th, June 6th, and June 7th.
