More than 4,000 citizens turned up this Wednesday at blood donation points in the Community of Madrid to replenish reserves following the railway accident that occurred in Urda, Toledo.

The solidarity response was so numerous that health authorities requested that some donations be postponed until Thursday, aiming to ensure that reserves remain at adequate levels in the coming days.
The Transfusion Center of the Community of Madrid highlighted the significant citizen collaboration and thanked the donors for their participation. A call was made for those wishing to contribute to continue coming to the designated centers in a staggered manner.
Currently, 32 fixed points are available in public hospitals, the Valdebernardo Transfusion Center, and the mobile units of the Spanish Red Cross.
