Users can now connect in real-time with a specialized agent to resolve queries, receive personalized guidance, or purchase transport tickets with remote assistance. A total of 24 professionals have undergone specific training to assist users throughout the ticket acquisition process.
Out of the 214 machines, 72 will enable video connections, with one per station hall. This initiative is part of the Estación 4.0 plan, which includes the renovation of the subway's sales devices with an investment of 9 million euros, funded by the European Union's Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan.
Furthermore, Line 6 of the Metro will operate 24 hours on weekends once its comprehensive automation is completed. The Circular line, used daily by over 430,000 travelers, will run uninterrupted from Friday morning service until Sunday evening.
This new night schedule will facilitate travel for leisure, work, or attending major events in the capital. Line 6 connects with ten other subway lines, five transport interchanges, Cercanías commuter rail, and the South Bus Station.
The automation will increase train capacity and allow for real-time adjustments to service based on demand. Conservation and maintenance work, currently performed during Friday and Saturday early mornings, will be concentrated mainly on Sunday night into Monday.
