The Governing Council authorized this week an investment exceeding one million euros for this initiative, which will have an execution period of 12 months. The objective is to provide comprehensive care combining individualized support, with guidance and follow-up tailored to each person's specific needs, and group activities.
Group workshops will aim to raise awareness about addictive behaviors, offering self-care guidelines, psychosocial risk prevention, and fostering mutual support among participants. These actions will take place in municipal social service centers, the Open Network of Social Canteens, and other resources managed by the General Directorate of Social Services and Integration.
The initiative is aimed at individuals over 18 years old or emancipated minors residing in the region who are referred to the program. It is part of the strategic objectives of the Regional Plan Against Drugs 2024/27.
One of the notable novelties will be a specific pilot project for homeless individuals, which will be carried out in the Open Network of Social Canteens.
