The Community of Madrid has illuminated the facade of the Royal Post Office building in light blue as a show of support for people affected by brain tumors.

The facade of the Royal Post Office, the seat of the regional government, has been lit in light blue as a gesture of solidarity with those affected by brain tumors. The regional Executive joins, once again, the campaign promoted by the NGOs Brain Get Famous (BGF) and Mission Brain.
These organizations are leading the international recognition of this disease before the European Parliament and the United Nations. They are advocating for October 14th to be proclaimed World Day in honor of brain tumor patients.
According to an international study by BGF, 400,000 cases of this disease are diagnosed each year. The average survival rate after detection is around five years, with 35.6% of affected individuals surviving beyond that period. This type of cancer is the second most common among infants and young children.
