The Madrid initiative competes with seven other proposals from countries such as Montenegro, Italy, Austria, and Ireland in the Digital Transformation and Technology in Social Services category. These awards, organized by the European Social Network (ESN), aim to recognize best practices in social assistance across Europe.
Developed by the General Directorate of Social Services and Integration of the Ministry of Family, Youth and Social Affairs, the AMBA HSU platform reduces administrative burdens and promotes collaboration among primary social care teams, the regional administration, third-sector entities, and private companies.
Its functionalities include automatic requirement checks, case management, aid processing, and information exchange. Currently, over 1,500 professionals use it to support more than 25,000 individuals in vulnerable situations.
The platform is integrated into the Unique Social History, a shared system that centralizes information on social care and resources, also connecting with areas such as Health, Employment, Housing, or Education.
Public voting for these awards will be open until October 26, 2026. The winners will be announced during the award ceremony, which will take place in Rome on November 20 and 21, 2026.
