The Community of Madrid will allocate 1.8 million euros to aid in the contracting of agricultural insurance policies covering damages caused by meteorological phenomena, diseases, and wildlife, as authorized by the Governing Council.

These subsidies will help cover part of the cost of policies designed to compensate for losses incurred due to these incidents, affecting both crops and livestock operations.
The aid will apply to insurance policies contracted between January 1 and December 31, 2027. Coverage can reach up to 75% of the policy's cost, increasing to 90% for policies covering the removal and disposal of dead animals.
These policies must be contracted through entities or agents integrated with Agroseguro, who will apply the corresponding discount after verifying that the established requirements are met. These subsidies are compatible with those granted by the State Agricultural Insurance Entity (ENESA).
These aids have been provided since 1990 to protect agricultural and livestock farms in the region. It is estimated that over 200 million tons of agricultural production and around 1.5 million animals are insured annually.
