The Summer Courses of the Complutense University of Madrid have celebrated their traditional Networking Day at the Ateneo de Madrid, reviewing the previous edition and presenting the upcoming one that will commemorate 40 years of history.

At the event, held at the Ateneo de Madrid, a review of the previous edition was presented and details of the next one were announced, which will celebrate 40 years of the Summer Courses. The director and vice-rector for Communication, Natalia Abuín, highlighted the value of conversation and critical thinking, values shared with the Ateneo.
The 39th edition recorded positive figures with 80 courses, 22 venues (including one in the United States, at the Real Colegio Complutense at Harvard University), and over 3,400 attendees from 49 nationalities, achieving a score of 4.65 out of 5, the best in its history. Abuín thanked the support of CaixaBank and more than one hundred sponsoring institutions.
For the 40th edition, which will take place from June 28 to July 23 with San Lorenzo de El Escorial as the main venue, Abuín announced that the program will be worthy of its history and will serve as a starting point for the future. The call for course proposals is open until December 1.
As a novelty, it was announced that the author of this year's promotional poster will be the artist José Salguero, known for his acidic and ironic narrative.
The vice-rector for Lifelong Learning, Employability, and Entrepreneurship, Concepción García Gómez, proposed a minute of silence for the 69 victims of the train accident in Urda.
