The opening ceremony for the judicial year of the Superior Court of Justice of Madrid (TSJM) took place at the main headquarters of this body, presided over in an acting capacity by María Aurora de la Cueva. Numerous representatives of the judiciary attended the event.
The 2025 report from the regional high court reflects the urgent need to fill 158 judge positions in the region. Currently, the Community of Madrid has a ratio of 10.5 judges per one hundred thousand inhabitants, a figure lower than the national average, which stands at 11.2.
In light of this situation, the regional government has repeatedly stressed the importance of increasing the number of professionals to ensure the proper functioning of Justice in the region.
