The Institute of Ceramics and Glass (ICV-CSIC) participated in Fruit Attraction 2026, the International Fruit and Vegetable Sector Fair held at IFEMA Madrid, presenting two key innovations for the agri-food sector.

The Institute of Ceramics and Glass (ICV-CSIC) was present at the recent edition of Fruit Attraction 2026, the international fair dedicated to the fruit and vegetable sector. The event took place at IFEMA Madrid, where the institute had a space within the CSIC stand (Stand 5B16, Hall P05).
During its participation, the ICV-CSIC unveiled two of its most relevant technological developments for modern agriculture. On one hand, it presented its fertilizer glasses, designed to facilitate the controlled release of essential nutrients for plants. On the other, it showcased its functional clays, which incorporate encapsulated essential oils, a technology aimed at providing more sustainable and effective crop protection against pests and diseases.
Attendance at Fruit Attraction is considered a strategic platform for bridging the scientific research conducted at ICV with the productive sector. The goal is to highlight technologies that drive more efficient, sustainable, and environmentally friendly agriculture, aligning with current market demands and environmental protection regulations.
