This certification acknowledges the quality of its management and the healthcare provided to citizens, endorsing excellence in its processes, the professionalism of its staff, and its contribution to social development.
The hospital first received this distinction in 2011, becoming the first public hospital in the Community of Madrid to achieve it. The renewal was made possible by the collective effort of all hospital staff and the successful completion of a rigorous external evaluation process.
The Hospital Universitario de Fuenlabrada's commitment to quality is evident in its integrated management system according to the ISO 9001:2015 standard, implemented across various departments including Sterilization, Cleaning, Laundry, Catering, Pathology, Hematology, Maintenance, Clinical Laboratory, Patient Care, Diagnostic Imaging, Dermatology, Cardiology, Hospital Pharmacy, and the Surgical Block.
Furthermore, the center holds the EFQM 500+ accreditation, the ‘Garantía Madrid’ certification, and the QH accreditation from the IDIS Foundation. These recognitions are in addition to its inclusion among Spain's top medium-stay hospitals according to 'Merco Salud' and the 'Best in Class Hospitals 2026 Ranking'.
