The event featured the participation of eleven CSIC centers from the Cantoblanco Campus, including the Institute of Ceramics and Glass (ICV-CSIC), who brought research closer to the public through activities and workshops designed to spark scientific curiosity.
During the morning, students from schools and institutes had the opportunity to learn about the centers' work, while in the afternoon, the general public engaged in interactive proposals to discover how research addresses society's major challenges.
The ICV-CSIC highlighted the presence of ceramics and glass in daily life, sharing knowledge in a practical and accessible manner. Researchers and volunteer staff facilitated this connection.
The initiative was organized by the CSIC centers of the Cantoblanco Campus, coordinated by the Institute of Materials Science of Madrid (ICMM-CSIC), and with the collaboration of CSIC Divulga, emphasizing the importance of cooperation in fostering scientific culture.
Active participants included the Institute of Materials Science of Madrid (ICMM), the Institute of Ceramics and Glass, the Institute of Catalysis and Petrochemistry, the National Biotechnology Center, the 'Severo Ochoa' Molecular Biology Center, the Institute of Food Science Research, the Institute of Theoretical Physics, the Institute of Mathematical Sciences, the Institute of Nano and Microelectronics, the Sols-Morreale Institute for Biomedical Research, and the Geological and Mining Institute of Spain.
