The competition, now in its 16th edition, took place over two days, on April 11 and April 18, at the IES San Isidro in the capital. The primary goal of this initiative is to enhance students' understanding of European Union institutions, the rich cultural heritage of member countries, the history of the continent, and Spain's integration into the EU.
Participants, working in pairs, engaged in the interactive game “What do you know about Europe?”. This program was developed by the General Directorate for Cooperation with the State and the EU, part of the Ministry of Presidency, Justice and Local Administration. The challenges included diverse activities such as charades, drawing, forbidden words, and question-and-answer rounds, testing the young participants' knowledge and creativity.
All team members received educational materials and publications from significant European institutions, including the European Commission and the European Parliament. Additionally, they were provided with relevant information from the European Documentation Centre of the Community of Madrid, as well as technological equipment and specialized books on the European Union, enriching their educational experience.
