These grants will enable research services from various entities to acquire, renew, and improve their scientific-technical equipment, aiming to strengthen their capabilities and facilitate research groups' access to these services.
A total of 266 projects have been funded. Of the 102.85 million euros, 88.5 million come from the FEDER repayable advance (86.1%), while 14.3 million (13.9%) are allocated to loans.
Regarding the distribution of awarded amounts by autonomous communities, Andalusia will receive 37.72 million euros, followed by Catalonia with 15.84 million, and the Valencian Community with 11.32 million. The Community of Madrid ranks fourth with 8.30 million euros, and Galicia with 6.20 million.
The scientific areas that stand out in the grant awards are Materials Science and Technologies (42 grants), Biosciences and Biotechnology (37), Environmental Science and Technologies (34), Chemical Science and Technologies (31), Agricultural and Food Sciences (29), and Biomedicine (29). These six areas account for 76% of all grants.
The funding will facilitate the incorporation of advanced technologies for material characterization, microscopy and bioimaging, sequencing and molecular analysis, spectrometry, high-performance computing, quantum technologies, environmental observation, and the study of marine systems, among other applications.
