The meeting, taking place in the capital, aims to delve into the analysis of VOX's situation. This initiative is part of the 'Declaration of Barajas', a manifesto promoted by this sector that questions the decisions of the party's leadership.
Critics argue that the leadership has altered the party's founding principles, adopting what they describe as "totalitarian positions". Furthermore, they denounce the alleged "purge" of what they consider their "best human capital" and the party's subordination to "spurious interests".
This is not the first time this group has expressed its discontent. In February 2025, they already organized a conclave attended by around a hundred officials and former officials, who demanded a refoundation of the party to reclaim the values of its foundational manifesto.
“"Many of us continue to uphold the values of Vox's Foundational Manifesto and refuse to passively witness its deviation."
According to the critics, the current evolution of VOX could have significant political repercussions, including the possibility that the party's "drift" favors the continuity of the current Government president after the next general elections. The June meeting represents another step in their strategy to channel discontent and propose an alternative within the right-wing political spectrum.
