VOX has denounced this Friday Más Madrid's vote against the incorporation of three new career civil servants at the Municipal Sports City (CDM) Autonomous Body, during an extraordinary council meeting held this morning. The positions, for mid-level technicians, were intended to enhance the service provided to the residents of Alcalá de Henares.
From VOX, they recall that the staff performing these duties did not have a permanent position obtained through a selection process. The President of the Autonomous Body, Víctor Acosta, initiated the public call for these three positions in May 2025 through a competitive examination, in accordance with legality and the principles of merit and capacity.
After the process concluded, the representative for Más Madrid, Sara Escudero, voted against the incorporation. VOX considers this decision "incomprehensible and irresponsible," calling it "an attempt to paralyze the normal functioning and technical reinforcement of the Municipal Sports City."
“"They seek headlines demanding explanations for the management of the CDM, when on numerous occasions we have seen how contracts and staff incorporations have been paralyzed due to their negative vote in the council. And this is the usual inconsistency that the council members of Más Madrid have accustomed us to."
VOX argues that these incorporations are necessary to improve municipal sports management and ensure a stable, legally compliant professional structure. They celebrate that, despite Más Madrid's negative vote, the appointment has proceeded and the new technicians can join normally to strengthen the work and management of the Municipal Sports City.
