This past weekend, the city of Madrid was the scene of various violent acts, resulting in at least three people injured by bladed weapons and eight arrests in incidents that occurred in the Metro, Lavapiés, and Entrevías.

One of the most notable events took place at the Gregorio Marañón Metro station, where a massive brawl on Sunday morning left two people with stab wounds and eight arrested. The incident began in a subway car and continued on the platform, as confirmed by sources from the Superior Police Headquarters.
Emergency services, Samur-Protección Civil, attended to the injured. One was transferred to Gregorio Marañón Hospital with a hand injury, while the other was taken to Ramón y Cajal Hospital with several back wounds, whose prognosis remains reserved.
In another incident, which occurred on Saturday night in the Lavapiés neighborhood, a young man was attacked by four individuals. The assault, which took place at the intersection of Calvario and Ministriles streets, left the victim with a seven-centimeter cut on his head and a stab wound in his back, inflicted by bladed weapons, including a machete.
Finally, in Entrevías, a 30-year-old man was attacked with a bladed weapon near the Cercanías station after witnessing a fight between three men. The National Police reported that the man was caught on Vizconde de Arlesson Street, in the Puente de Vallecas district, and suffered a sternum injury. This event occurred on the same day and on the same street where, hours earlier, a 17-year-old was murdered with a knife.
