The Culture Department of the Madrid City Council has promoted this initiative, which will take place between April 9 and April 17. The proposal aims to bring music closer to citizens with an intimate format that includes recitals, educational workshops, and performances by young talents.
The cycle will begin on April 9 with the lyrical recital Voces de Ensueño, where soprano Kamila Vargas will perform pieces by composers such as Rossini, Bach, and Strauss. The following day, April 10, the program will feature traditional music with a workshop on the ney, an ancient Persian instrument, taught by musician Hamid Vodjanpak.
Jazz will take center stage on April 16 with a concert by the Combo of the Autonomous University of Madrid, directed by André JahJah, offering a repertoire with influences from blues, bossa nova, and Latin music. The closing of this cultural cycle will be on April 17 with the Saudade ensemble, composed of students from Madrid conservatories, who will perform chamber music with a contemporary approach.
All activities are scheduled for 7:00 PM and will take place in the choir room of the municipal venue, consolidating the Víctor Espinós Music Library as an accessible cultural reference in the capital.
