The 42nd edition of the Veranos de la Villa festival begins this Tuesday in Madrid, featuring a diverse program of over 70 cultural activities throughout July and August.

Organized by the Culture, Tourism and Sports Department of the Madrid City Council, the event opens with a free concert at Matadero Madrid and the launch of the Yo fui a EGB exhibition at the Conde Duque cultural center.
The symphonic program includes performances by the Community of Madrid Orchestra and Choir (ORCAM), the Madrid Municipal Symphonic Band, and the RTVE Orchestra and Choir. These ensembles will present shows dedicated to zarzuela, cinema, and symphonic pop, culminating in a tribute to ABBA on August 29.
Beyond the main concerts, the festival expands its reach with free events across different districts. The Whatever Jazz Band will bring its dixieland show to Tetuán, while the musical clown Fuman will perform in Usera, combining circus techniques and music for all audiences.
