The Open House Days at the Valdemingómez Technology Park, organized for World Environment Day, were inaugurated by the delegate councilor for Cleaning and Green Spaces of the Madrid City Council. The main objective of these days is to foster environmental awareness and promote actions in favor of the environment.
During the event, the new environmental education program ‘Hazlo Circular’ was presented. This initiative aims to update and expand the park's educational offerings, incorporating new activities, content, and participation methods, as well as extending its reach beyond the center itself.
Tomorrow, the Visitor Center of the Valdemingómez Technology Park will host a special day from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM with free activities. Attendees can enjoy recycling workshops, educational games, magic shows, art exhibitions with reused materials, and guided tours. The full program and registration details are available on the center's website.
Participants will learn about sustainability through practical workshops on creating recycled paper, musical instruments from waste, or 3D printing with recycled materials. There will also be a children's area and immersive experiences focused on the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling. New activities from the Center for Innovation in Circular Economy (CIEC) will also be introduced.
The ‘Hazlo Circular’ program reinforces the Valdemingómez Technology Park's role as a leader in environmental education. Its goal is to raise public awareness about the proper management, separation, and valorization of waste through training and outreach activities tailored for various audiences, including schoolchildren, universities, administrations, and companies.
Since June 2025, the educational offerings have been expanded with new proposals such as weekend family visits, an urban garden, activities at the CIEC, film screenings, concerts, art exhibitions, and a robotic mascot, consolidating the park as an attractive and competitive space.
In 2025, the park received a total of 4,925 visitors, both national and international, demonstrating the growing interest in its innovation and environmental education model and its ability to bring the circular economy closer to citizens.
