A 17-year-old student from Boadilla del Monte has achieved the highest score in the University Access Exam (Selectividad) for the 2025/2026 academic year in the Community of Madrid, a feat she discovered unexpectedly while sharing a moment with friends.

Valeria Fragola, a student at Mirabal International School, has earned the highest grade in the University Access Exam (PAU) for the Community of Madrid. She found out the results while participating in a popular TikTok trend, filming a reaction video with her classmates in a park.
The student, currently in her 2nd year of Bachillerato and preparing for an Interrail trip, explained that her video involved predicting her own score, with her friends revealing the actual result. She described her surprise and happiness upon calculating her grade, estimating a 13.9 based on her perfect 10 Bachillerato average.
Fragola scored a 9.99 in the final exams, just one-hundredth of a point ahead of three students from other Madrid institutions: IES Ramiro de Maeztu (Chamartín district), IES Laguna Joatzel (Getafe), and Colegio Amanecer (Alcorcón). The top four scores are evenly split between public and private schools, and across the region's north and south.
Valeria Fragola aims to study Medicine, with plans to decide on a specialization later. She is considering the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM) as her top choice but is open to other options after further research. She had also contemplated pursuing Aerospace Engineering or Physics.
The student stated she felt no anxiety during the PAU, finding it similar to her regular Bachillerato exams but with more preparation time. She advised future students to "not get nervous" and to "prepare well and in advance," emphasizing consistency and practicing with past exams.
The mayor of Boadilla del Monte, Javier Ubeda, congratulated the local resident on her "extraordinary achievement," attributing it to "effort, consistency, and talent." The announcement coincides with the release of the Selectividad results across the Community of Madrid on Thursday, June 11, marking the start of university pre-registration.
