The Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM) is ranked among the ten most outstanding Spanish universities in the disciplines of Education and History, according to the results of the CYD Ranking 2026. This report assesses the performance of higher education institutions across various academic areas.
In the field of Education, UAM shares an excellent position with universities such as the International University of Catalonia, the Autonomous University of Barcelona, the Public University of Navarre, Nebrija, and Deusto. The Madrid-based institution particularly excels in the Teaching and Learning dimension, where it leads the national classification alongside the Pablo de Olavide University and the Public University of Navarre.
The Education area holds significant importance in the Spanish university landscape. During the 2023-2024 academic year, it accounted for 12.1% of the student body, with a notable female majority representing 74.5% of students.
