The accident occurred around 11:00 PM on Wednesday at kilometer 11 of the aforementioned road. The motorcycle collided with the central reservation, causing both occupants to sustain significant injuries.
The injured are a 50-year-old male and an 18-year-old female. After receiving initial assistance at the scene from SUMMA 112 emergency services, both were transported to hospitals.
The driver, who suffered multiple traumas, was taken to Puerta de Hierro Hospital in a "potentially serious" condition. The passenger experienced cardiac arrest, which was reversed by the medical team. She was evacuated in a "very serious" condition with thoracic trauma to 12 de Octubre Hospital.
The Civil Guard has opened an investigation to clarify the causes of the incident.
According to information provided by Emergencias 112 of the Community of Madrid, the event took place on the M-407, a road that runs through several municipalities in the region.
