The Civil Guard has arrested three individuals in Cañada Real for their alleged involvement in a fraudulent sale operation of 119 lambs, intended for the Lamb Festival.

The detainees, including the animal owner, the transporter, and the recipient in Madrid, are under investigation for alleged document forgery. They are suspected of using manipulated certificates to justify the livestock's transport and sale.
The investigation began after the Municipal Police detected the unloading of lambs on a plot in Cañada Real. The individuals involved were identified, and it was confirmed the animals were destined for sale during a religious celebration.
Subsequently, Seprona officers, along with technicians from the Community of Madrid, conducted an inspection that revealed irregularities. These included the absence of mandatory identification elements on the animals, non-compliance with transport regulations, and the submission of documentation with false data.
Due to the lack of sanitary guarantees and the potential risk of disease transmission, the Community of Madrid ordered the sacrifice of the 119 seized lambs. The investigation remains open to clarify all details of the operation.
