The 21 Distrititos Festival Returns to Vicálvaro and Villaverde with Diverse Cultural Offerings

The sixth edition of the municipal event will feature free theater, music, circus, cinema, and workshops for all ages on April 25th and 26th.

The 21 Distrititos festival will hold its sixth edition on April 25th and 26th in Vicálvaro and Villaverde, offering a diverse and free cultural program for all ages, organized by the Madrid City Council.

Activities will take place at the Recinto Ferial de Vicálvaro on April 25th and at the Auditorio El Espinillo on April 26th, from 11 AM to 2 PM. The program includes theater, music, circus, and cinema shows, complemented by free games and workshops.
Among the highlighted attractions is 'Chaos Lab' by the company La Cresta, an installation that merges improvisation and sound art to create immersive experiences. Chico-Trópico will also participate with his mobile recording studio, La C.O.S.A. (Centro Organizado de Sonido Ambulante), where the public can collaborate in song creation.
The program is enriched by the presence of tocajugarMADERA, presenting large-format traditional wooden games, and Toti Toronell, who will offer 'Microshakespeare', an original object theater experience inspired by Shakespeare's work.
Furthermore, Alauda Teatro will install 'Ingenii Machina', an interactive space with puppets and automatons that explores the principles of classical mechanics. In parallel, the Caravana de costura project will conduct textile recycling workshops, promoting fabric reuse and responsible consumption.
The festival will also feature a family astronomical observation activity, organized in collaboration with the Fundación Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (FUAM), aiming to foster scientific curiosity among children. The Escuela de circo de la Asociación Circo Diverso will offer basic training in juggling techniques, and La Mirilla will present a body printing technique called body marbling, inspired by Imperial Japan's marbling.
Artist Inge Nows will participate with 'Un viaje soñado', an installation combining free play and a creative workshop. The program concludes with the 'Arquitecturas blanditas' workshop by Criaturas Infinitas, focusing on design and architecture as critical thinking tools, and 'Arborecer' by Cuentos Danzantes, which merges storytelling, dance, and nature. Finally, Adrián Conde will present 'La petite caravane', a theater on wheels, and PUCK Cinema, the world's smallest cinema caravan, will screen animated short films.
