The meeting, chaired by the Secretary of State for Transport and Sustainable Mobility, focused on the single transport pass project. This initiative aims to integrate state services with urban and regional buses, allowing users to utilize a single monthly pass across almost all public transport modes, excluding high-speed rail.
During the session, the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility announced that technical work for this system will begin in September. Additionally, a formal collaboration protocol was proposed to coordinate the implementation of this measure among the different territorial administrations.
The agenda also included an analysis of the future Sustainable Mobility Law and the timeline for new national bus concessions, expected to be tendered within two years. Furthermore, investments in railway and road infrastructure were reviewed, alongside actions under the Social Climate Plan, which plans to mobilize 4.3 billion euros through 2032.
