For the second consecutive day, technical staff and operators sent by the Community of Madrid appeared at the Vallecas Stadium aiming to initiate urgent safety operations. However, they were unable to gain access to the facilities, whose concession is no longer held by Rayo Vallecano.
Following Wednesday's failed attempt, the Community of Madrid filed a complaint with the National Police Corps. While regional personnel waited outside, individuals not affiliated with the regional government were observed performing cleaning tasks inside the stadium.
The Community of Madrid issued an order to terminate the concession of the Vallecas Stadium to Rayo Vallecano due to «serious» deficiencies detected in safety, sanitation, and maintenance. As a precautionary measure, the immediate suspension of the concession has been ordered.
The regional government will undertake the urgent actions necessary to ensure the venue's safety and facilitate the team's return to Vallecas. During the works, Rayo will have to play its initial league matches at an alternative stadium, chosen in coordination with LaLiga and the Royal Spanish Football Federation.
Fans have expressed their dissatisfaction with the situation. A season ticket holder of over 20 years stated he would leave his seat empty if the team has to relocate temporarily, emphasizing that his connection to Rayo is based on «neighborhood values» rather than just sporting results.
The Federation of Rayo Vallecano Fan Clubs and the ADRV Platform have requested the club to immediately halt the season ticket renewal and new registration campaign. They seek more information regarding the location of upcoming matches and public attendance, and also request refunds for those who have already renewed.
