The investigation, which began in early 2026 following international police cooperation alerts, led to the dismantling of a highly organized structure. The group included substance production specialists, logistics managers, and financial operators, with the capacity to move shipments of up to five million pills.
The operational phase took place on April 28 near a hotel in the capital. Officers intercepted the suspects carrying two suitcases containing approximately 65,000 MDMA pills and over 32 kilograms of a substance identified as ketamine.
Following the arrests, four home searches were conducted, revealing a clandestine laboratory. Equipment seized included manual presses, dies, punches, packaging machinery, and various narcotics, including 2C-B and LSD. Additionally, officers confiscated imitation firearms, a taser, electronic devices, and over 34,000 euros in cash.
The six detainees have been brought before the court on charges of belonging to a criminal organization and crimes against public health. The judicial authority has ordered the imprisonment of five of the group members.
