The incident occurred on Wednesday morning, around 11:30 AM, when several group members entered the jewelry store posing as religious figures. A man in a cassock and a woman in a habit requested to see various pieces, at which point a third individual took the opportunity to force an employee into the back room.
The swift intervention of the 13th Robbery Unit of the Provincial Judicial Police Brigade, with support from the Citizen Assistance Group (GAC), led to the arrest of three suspects at the scene. During the operation, one of the individuals, disguised as a priest, pointed a firearm at two officers before being subdued.
Subsequent investigations led to the location and arrest of two more individuals in the vicinity, who were allegedly acting as lookouts. Later, a police pursuit on the M-30 highway concluded with the interception of a vehicle carrying two other group members, who rammed a police car during their escape.
The National Police have seized a firearm and are continuing their investigation to determine if the detainees are linked to other similar crimes. All have been arrested as alleged perpetrators of a robbery with violence and intimidation.
This incident adds to a series of armed robberies targeting jewelry stores in the Community of Madrid in recent weeks, including recent events in Torrelodones and La Vaguada.
