The regional president has accused the president of Mexico and the Spanish Government of having “endangered” and “abandoned” her during her recent institutional trip to the Latin American country. According to her statements, the lack of security guarantees led her to cancel part of her scheduled activities.
In an interview, the leader explained that her team was forced to “cut short and disappear” to avoid risks in a country that, in her opinion, is marked by drug trafficking violence. She considered that the central Executive left a regional president “to her fate” without offering adequate protection during a trip she described as institutional.
“"The president of Mexico spent the day insulting and attacking her from her arrival, seeking to generate controversy that compromised the security of the Madrid delegation."
The regional president defended that her trip responded to usual institutional criteria, justified by the volume of Mexican investment in Madrid and the relations between administrations. However, she criticized the “level of manipulation” by the Spanish Government and the Mexican government regarding her displacement.
Regarding the Platino Awards, which she ultimately did not attend, the regional president insisted that the president of Mexico contacted the Xcaret complex to prevent her presence, assuring that she has “proof” to demonstrate it.
The regional leader drew a parallel between the political methods of the ruling party in Mexico and the Spanish Government, warning of an “enormous parallelism” between both political models.
