The San Blas neighborhood is gearing up for its annual festivities, scheduled from July 2nd to 5th. Under the slogan ‘Convivir, respect, enjoy, and support our local commerce’, events will be held at the Parque El Paraíso Auditorium, the fairgrounds, and other nearby locations.
The program kicks off on Thursday, July 2nd, with a community gathering at 7:00 PM at the San Blas Neighborhood Platform's stand, in collaboration with the San Blas-Canillejas Proximity Care Team. On Friday, July 3rd, at 7:00 PM, there will be an exhibition by the San Blas Wrestling Club and the 3x3 Mundialito with children's games. At 8:00 PM, the fairgrounds will host an exhibition by the Municipal Police canine unit. The opening speech will be at 9:00 PM, delivered by Fernando Alonso González, director of the María Moliner Infant and Primary Education Center, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary.
Music will be a highlight at the auditorium. On Friday the 3rd, La Gripe y Tú (9:30 PM) and Celtian (11:00 PM) will perform. On Saturday the 4th, Danza Invisible's vocalist, Javier Ojeda, will take the stage at 9:30 PM, followed by Hermanos Martínez at 11:00 PM. Late-night sets will feature Sr Lobo (12:30 AM) and DJ Jonatan Espinosa (1:30 AM). On Sunday the 5th, the musical lineup concludes with Demonios, an Estopa tribute band (8:30 PM), and Santa Esencia Premium Band (10:00 PM).
Sports and children's activities will also play a significant role. On Saturday the 4th, the San Blas Sports Center will host a 3x3 basketball tournament at 9:00 AM. Throughout the weekend, tournaments for pimpón, mus, chess, foosball, children's games, and a slow bicycle race where the last one to finish wins will also be held. The foam party on Saturday at 12:30 PM and Raúl Charlo's family concert, along with Sunday's children's activities 'La Ruta del Ritmo' (12:00 PM) and 'Dando la nota' (1:00 PM), complete the family offerings.
To support and promote local businesses, a street band event has been organized for Saturday from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM along Zumel, Amposta, and Alberique streets. Additionally, reusable bags will be distributed at local establishments during the festivities. The celebrations will conclude on Sunday the 5th at midnight with a fireworks display at the fairgrounds.
