Madrid City Council held an institutional ceremony this Monday for the feast of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, the patron saint of SAMUR-Protección Civil, highlighting its healthcare work.

During the ceremony, the professionalism of the volunteers and workers who make up this municipal service was highlighted. According to the data presented, the corps recorded an average of 443 daily activations last year, maintaining an average response time of 8 minutes.
The service has reached its best historical figure in critical patient survival, standing at 93.4%. In addition, its operational capacity was highlighted, being the first municipal service of its kind authorized to intervene in international disasters.
The event served to present awards to various institutions and professionals who have collaborated with the service over the past year. Likewise, a tribute was paid to retired members of the corps and those who have passed away, recognizing their career and dedication.
