The Royal Botanical Garden-CSIC has launched its annual initiative 'Autumn at the RJB, at the feet of its visitors', inviting people to experience the colors of fallen leaves, complemented by workshops and guided tours.

The Garden and Tree Unit of the Royal Botanical Garden-CSIC has started a campaign that marks its fifteenth year, coinciding with the shedding of leaves by deciduous trees. The aim is for visitors to enjoy the varied colors of the fallen leaves on the ground, creating a 'second garden of the senses' that combines visual appeal with the sound of stepping on them and the smell of their slight fermentation.
This educational action is complemented by workshops and guided tours scheduled by the Scientific Culture Unit. On Saturday, November 14, the workshop ‘Autumn Anthotype and Plant Pigments’ will be held, focusing on identifying pigments like xanthophylls or carotenes and creating an artistic piece. On November 15 and 29, guided tours titled ‘The Garden in Autumn’ will be offered to observe nature's transformations before winter.
All information regarding these activities, designed to surprise visitors with the magic of autumn, can be found on the institutional website's agenda for the Royal Botanical Garden.
