The president of Real Madrid has announced the call for elections to the Board of Directors, confirming his intention to run for a new term and dismissing rumors of his potential resignation.

The electoral call was made at the Sports City, where the current president expressed his firm decision to continue leading the entity. This decision aims to maintain the club's current management, which has achieved significant sporting successes, including 15 European titles.

"I regret to tell you, from what I hear, that I am not going to resign."

The president assured that he is in “perfect health,” thus refuting speculations about his departure. He defended his trajectory since 2000, highlighting his commitment to the club's ownership model by its members, an aspect that, according to him, differentiates Real Madrid from other sports organizations.
The election call is attributed to an “absurd situation” generated by an opinion campaign that, in his view, is contrary to the club's interests and specifically directed against him. Although he acknowledged that recent sporting results “have not been the best,” he emphasized that in sports “you don't always win” and denounced that certain sectors are taking advantage of this situation to question him “personally.”
