The president of Rayo Vallecano, Raúl Martín Presa, has described the club's season as 'outstanding' and highlighted the importance of the European final as a turning point, while also demanding infrastructure improvements.

Raúl Martín Presa, president of Rayo Vallecano, analyzed the club's performance this season, calling it 'outstanding' and emphasizing that the Conference League final should serve as a catalyst for aspiring to win titles. The executive stressed the need to strengthen the entity's organizational structure and material capabilities to compete with greater ambition.
During a press conference, Martín Presa reviewed a campaign that led the team to a European final and secured their place in the top division. "What we have achieved is something grand," he stated regarding the European experience, adding that "it had been 25 years since we competed in European competition" and that the "absolute club record for remaining in the league" was achieved despite the "year of great risk of relegation."
The president expressed gratitude for the support received in the final played in Leipzig and acknowledged the desire to "return to a final to bring a title to Vallecas." "It will be an obsession, and for that, we must improve infrastructure because things happened this year that cannot happen again," he pointed out, lamenting that the sports city, owned by the Madrid City Council, was designed "by people who don't know football."
Martín Presa identified the sports city as a priority, noting that the club only has one natural grass pitch, which complicates daily management. "Two natural grass fields are needed" to allow the pitch to rest. There is an agreement with the City Council and the Community of Madrid for both administrations to contribute 50 percent of the funds for the "regeneration of all artificial turf training fields."
Regarding the pitch at the Vallecas Stadium, he defended that the club did its part, but attributed the problems to "misuse during the San Silvestre and other factors like unprecedented rainfall in the Community of Madrid over 50 years." These difficulties forced the team to play the match against Atlético de Madrid at Butarque.
The executive reiterated the need for "a stadium that we want to be in Puente de Vallecas, and if not possible, as close as possible, where we can accommodate 27,000 people, generate economic benefits, and allow us to compete head-to-head with Real Sociedad or Athletic Club." He added that the stadium "must be ours, not belonging to any public institution."
Finally, Martín Presa confirmed that Rayo Vallecano has requested LaLiga to postpone the start of their first home matches to have August available for the renovation of changing rooms and other stadium areas.
