The organization of Pope Leo XIV's apostolic journey has confirmed four key events in Madrid, including a vigil with young people in Plaza de Lima and a solemn mass in Plaza de Cibeles, marking significant moments of his visit to Spain.

The Pontiff is scheduled to begin his agenda in the Spanish capital on the evening of June 6, the day of his arrival in the country. On this first day, he will preside over a vigil with young people in Plaza de Lima and its surrounding areas. Before the main celebration, the Holy Father will tour the area in the Popemobile to greet the gathered pilgrims.
This youth gathering will conclude with a message from the Pope and a Eucharistic Adoration, with active participation expected from attendees. It will be one of the most emotional moments of his stay in Madrid, bringing together thousands of young people from various backgrounds.
The following day, Sunday, June 7, coinciding with the feast of Corpus Christi, Pope Leo XIV will celebrate a mass at 9:30 AM in the iconic Plaza de Cibeles. After the Eucharist, a Eucharistic procession will take place in the adjacent areas, also presided over by the Pontiff.

"While we await the moment to meet in Cibeles, I ask you: do not let the present pass; pray, truly seek Christ; do not settle for the minimum, because life, with Christ, is worth living."

The confirmation of his presence in Cibeles had already been announced by the Pope last Saturday, through a message read by the cardinal archbishop of Madrid, José Cobo, during the IV Resurrection Festival held in the city.
