A student from Paracuellos de Jarama has achieved the highest score in the University Entrance Exam (PAU) at the University of Alcalá, aiming to study Medicine.

After weeks of intense study, Paula Carballares, a student from Colegio Miramadrid in Paracuellos de Jarama, has achieved one of the best scores in this year's University Entrance Exam (PAU). With a 9.97, she stands out as the highest-scoring student among those who took the test at the University of Alcalá.
This score also places her among the top five in the entire Community of Madrid, surpassed only by one student with a 9.99 and three others with 9.98. The student expressed her surprise and pride upon learning the result, confirming that her next goal is to study Medicine.
Carballares attributes her success to consistent and organized preparation throughout the academic year, avoiding cramming in the final weeks. "I was clear that I wanted to keep up with it and not get overwhelmed in the last few weeks," she stated, describing the final month as "quite tough and very stressful."
The key, she explains, lies in consistency: "Keeping up with it is fundamental because, in the end, it allows you to perform better and practice more. If you study the theory little by little and practice it, you arrive in May with everything reviewed and can dedicate yourself to doing exams or reinforcing things you don't understand as well."

"In the end, it's a great score. I worked for it, I feel very proud, and my friends have helped me a lot, as have my parents. It's been a very important achievement, and I thank everyone who has helped me."
