Under the slogan No la debemos dormir (We must not sleep), the Teatros del Canal will offer a free cultural program during the early hours of next Sunday, June 7th. This initiative is designed as a meeting point for young pilgrims and other attendees in the city due to the visit of Pope Leo XIV.
The performing arts center will be open from 00:00 to 5:00 AM, featuring an uninterrupted schedule combining live performances, dance, and DJ sets. Access will be free for those presenting their pilgrim's ID, though it will be subject to available capacity and on a first-come, first-served basis.
The lineup includes Clara Montes, a renowned voice in Spanish music, presenting her recital Marinera en tierra. Clara Montes canta a Rafael Alberti. Also performing will be Alfonso Acosta, known as Pantera and guitarist for Jenny and the Mexicats, offering a fusion of rock, flamenco, and indie-folk.
The night will also feature a special showcase by the Spanish Ballet of the Community of Madrid, presenting classical Spanish dance. To round off the program, several DJ sets will represent the Madrid and national electronic music scene, keeping the rhythm going until closing.
Pilgrims who can prove their participation in the Pope's events will receive a 20% discount on tickets for shows at the Teatros del Canal between June 6th and 9th. This promotion includes titles such as La dama boba, Los Estunmen, and SACRESIZE.
Access to Sunday's late-night program is free but requires presenting a pilgrim's ID at the entrance. Places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. For further information, it is recommended to consult the official channels of the Teatros del Canal.
