The cultural offering, now in its fifth edition, has established itself as one of the most unique and anticipated activities of Madrid's nights. Tickets, which sold out in previous years, provide a different perspective for discovering the city's historical heritage.
The tours will run from June 24 to September 6. As dusk falls, participants will embark on a guided journey that blends historical dissemination, heritage, and theatrical performance, accompanied by SFM guides and actors.
Actors from the company directed by Sergio Pazos will bring to life prominent historical figures, including writers, artists, and politicians, whose remains rest in the cemetery. These performances will recount curious episodes from their lives with historical accuracy, warmth, and touches of humor, offering an enjoyable and accessible cultural experience.
The activity also allows visitors to discover the cemetery's significant artistic and monumental heritage, considered one of Europe's most important funerary sites and an authentic open-air museum.
Tours will be conducted in small groups of up to 30 people, lasting approximately two and a half hours. Tickets will be available through the official booking platform of Servicios Funerarios de Madrid (SFM).
This initiative is part of SFM's cultural program, which aims to bring the historical, artistic, and cultural heritage of Madrid's municipal cemeteries closer to citizens through guided tours, concerts, and other activities held throughout the year.
