The Community of Madrid has experienced a 0.26% increase in estimated births during the month of July, reaching 4,498 deliveries. This figure, published by the National Statistics Institute (INE), represents an increase of 148 births compared to the same month last year. However, regional growth was 1.13 percentage points below the national average.
Nationally, births rose by 1.39% in July, totaling 28,025. The cumulative figure for the entire country up to the seventh month of the year stands at 184,990 births.
In the Community of Madrid, the cumulative number of births during the first seven months of the year reaches 30,261, reflecting a trend of moderate growth in the region.
The age group of mothers between 30 and 34 years old accounts for the majority of deliveries in Madrid during July 2026, with 1,505 births. This is followed by the 35 to 39 years old group, which recorded 1,416 births.
Mothers aged 20 to 29 years accounted for 986 births, while those aged 40 to 49 years registered 516. The 15 to 19 years old age range recorded 66 births, with eight mothers over 50 and one birth from a mother under 15 years old.
