A 57-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured this Tuesday after a collision with a car in Madrid's Latina district, in an incident that occurred minutes before 8:30 AM.

A 57-year-old motorcyclist sustained serious injuries this Tuesday after being involved in a collision with a car in Madrid's Latina district. The victim was urgently transported to Hospital Clínico San Carlos.
The accident occurred minutes before 8:30 AM at the intersection of Concejal Francisco José Jiménez Martín and Gotarrendura streets. For reasons currently under investigation, the motorcycle and the car collided at the intersection, which is regulated by traffic lights.
Personnel from Samur-Civil Protection responded to the scene and attended to the motorcyclist. The man presented with several significant traumas, including an open tibia fracture, and was unconscious upon the arrival of paramedics.
Due to the severity of his injuries, emergency teams had to intubate him before transporting him to Hospital Clínico San Carlos.
The Madrid Municipal Police escorted the medical convoy during the transfer and has taken charge of the investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the crash and clarify whether either driver may have run a red light or committed any infraction.
