A 45-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured early Thursday morning in Madrid after a fall on Paseo de la Castellana, suffering severe head trauma.

A 45-year-old motorcyclist sustained serious injuries early Thursday morning in Madrid. The rider lost control of his motorcycle and fell onto the roadway on Paseo de la Castellana.
The incident occurred around 5:10 AM, near number 48 of the aforementioned Madrid street. According to information from Emergencias Madrid, no other vehicles were initially detected as being involved in the accident.
Upon arrival, SAMUR paramedics found the man unconscious due to severe traumatic brain injury. After being stabilized and intubated at the scene, he was transported in serious condition to Hospital Clínico San Carlos.
The Madrid Municipal Police has taken charge of the investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the accident, with assistance from the Guardia Civil.
