The facility, located on Áncora street in Madrid and spanning over 500 square meters, provides solo artists and groups aged 14 to 30 with specialized spaces for rehearsing, recording, and developing their artistic projects. Managed by the Directorate General for Youth, the center features ten soundproofed rooms for various music genres and a professional recording studio.
Since its opening in 2020, Metrónomo has hosted over 6,100 musicians, offering comprehensive equipment such as mixing desks, microphones, and amplifiers. The facilities are open daily from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM and include a multipurpose space with a grand piano. In 2024, approximately 500 demo tapes were recorded in its studio.
The center's training program includes sessions on equipment operation, recording techniques, mixing, mastering, and urban music production. This initiative aims to foster the creation and consolidation of musical careers, thereby strengthening the cultural fabric of the Community of Madrid.
Metrónomo also organizes two annual concerts at the Pilar Miró Cultural Center to showcase the work of artists using its facilities. The most recent event, held on June 5th, featured performances by Seasunday, Evolved BBX, 4pan, and El iPhone de Marcelo.
