The incident occurred shortly after 7 AM, when the pedestrian, who was crossing the road in an unauthorized area, was struck by the vehicle. As a result of the impact, the victim suffered severe head trauma.
SAMUR-Civil Protection paramedics attended to the injured man at the scene. After being intubated, his airway was secured, and he was connected to mechanical ventilation. Once stabilized, he was transferred with a very serious prognosis to La Paz Hospital.
Officers from the Traffic Judicial Unit of the Madrid Municipal Police are investigating to clarify the exact circumstances of the accident.
